The MARK’S VINTAGE VINYL page features something from Mark’s collection of recordings from over the years. Most of it is on vinyl – hence the name – though there will be a few entries from his CDs (remember those?).
Homecoming by America
- Released in 1972, their second album.
- Singles from the album were Ventura Highway, Don’t Cross the River, and Only In Your Heart.
- I am always drawn to music that has strong harmonies. America was one of the finest groups that featured vocal harmonies, typically three-part harmony.
- Enjoy this live version of the track Ventura Highway. The opening guitar riff is epic, one of the defining sounds of 70’s music.
