Beatles Cover Songs

The AWESOME! page has random music stuff that I think is cool. You never know what you will find here!

You may or may not agree, but the Beatles were the greatest artists of all time, and perhaps the most influential. One measure of their influence is by cover songs of the Beatles – versions of their songs that were recorded by other artists.

Wikipedia lists over 2,400 different cover songs of the Beatles – and for sure, some are missing. The artists range from every style imaginable – from Aerosmith to Frank Zappa. Here are videos of covers from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and 10s.

Joe Cocker, With A Little Help From My Friends, 1969 (Must Watch! From Woodstock)

The Carpenters, Help!, 1970 (Love This Version)

Siouxsie and the Banshees, Dear Prudence, 1983 (80s New Wave – weird)

Oasis, I Am The Walrus, 1995 (Solid cover here, before Oasis really made it big)

Bono/Stevie Wonder/Alicia Keys, et al, Across The Universe, 2005 (Big stars at the Grammy’s, not sounding that well together)

Arctic Monkeys, Come Together, 2012 (True to the Beatles version, performed at the London Olympics, video is interesting)
